Before I moved to Kansas, the news reported record setting drought and scorching temperatures plaguing the crops across the state.
The past two days have seen a 20-25 degree drop in temperature and it has rained all day. I have lived by myself in Kansas for two days.
I am not saying I have the ability to control the weather - which would be an incredible superpower - but I can help but think that perhaps my arrival has signaled change. I’m not delusional enough to believe that I can affect the wheat harvest, but I do think that I have something to offer to someone in this new place and can bring positive change.
A catalyst is an element that facilitates a reaction or change where such a reaction could not exist before. We all have the ability to be one and affect the lives of others, but the proper conditions must exist.
