20. What types of cartoons did you like best as a kid (hero cartoons, comedy cartoons, educational)? What were your favorites?
I watched a lot of TV in my youth, and a good portion of it was cartoons. I remember liking “TMNT,” “X-Men,” “Ren and Stimpy” and “The Simpsons” when I was younger. When I discovered Cartoon Network I really enjoyed shows like “Dexter’s Laboratory.”
I would say that animated shows make up about 30% of what I watch regularly, with sports programming being about 60% and 10% is other (news, live action.) The animated shows I watch now, which are influenced from my childhood interests are:
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars
- The Venture Brothers
- Futurama
- Family Guy
- Black Dynamite (the movie was hysterical, the show tries to emulate it)
- The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
Those are in no particular order, but my favorite among them is “Futurama.”
